Bio

Grace Braniff is a London based artist. She is currently attending Western University in London, Ontario, for an Honours Specialization in Studio Art. Braniff’s work and process is inspired by feminist theory, an active departure from dualism, and affect theory. She indirectly is responding to the deeply entrenched values and hierarchies woven into Western societal constructs and institutional ideologies. She confronts these ideas, and the influences of her surrounding culture through non- representative gestures within paintings, installations that pull froward the bodily senses and video that re-activate concepts of self.
